PI SCHEFFER (Amsterdam 1909 - Naarden 1988) wurde sehr bekannt als Dirigent von verschiedenen populären niederländischen Rundfunkorchester wie 'The Skymasters', 'The O.K.Wobblers' und 'De Zaaiers'. Dieser Doktor in der englischen Sprachwissenschaft komponierte zahlreiche interessante Werke für Blasorchester. Twoodledree (1984) war eines seiner leichtere Stücke das, wie das früher komponierte 'Twoodledrum' (1982), von den komischen Zwillingen aus Lewis Carolls 'Alice in Wonderland' inspiriert wurde.
